WASHINGTON - D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has signed into law legislation that will raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. Bowser signed the Fair Shot Minimum Wage Amendment Act of 2016 outside of the Columbia Heights Civic Plaza in Northwest D.C. Monday evening alongside other city officials and members of the community.

This legislation will increase the hourly minimum wage to $15 for District workers by 2020. Currently, workers make $10.50 an hour and that rate will increase to $11.50 in July ...

Michael Lastoria, CEO of &pizza, a small local pizza chain, is also for wage increase.
