With polls closing today, business owners across Florida are available to talk about why they support raising the state minimum wage

Nov. 3, 2020 — This Election Day, business leaders in the growing Florida Business for a Fair Minimum Wage coalition are speaking out in favor of Amendment 2, which would gradually raise the state minimum wage to $15 by 2026.

More than 160 business owners have joined the coalition, saying Amendment 2 will boost consumer spending, increase worker productivity, and help businesses and the economy. They have signed the Florida Business for a Fair Minimum Wage Statement, saying, “We can’t build a shared recovery on a minimum wage that’s too low to live on.” Raising the $8.56 minimum wage will boost “the consumer buying power that businesses depend on to survive and grow.”

Who: Business owners across Florida – from restaurants and retail to manufacturing, construction and service industries – are available to discuss their support for passing Amendment 2 to raise Florida’s minimum wage.
